Description

  • interlaced LL monogram and painter's mark of an ampersand, interlaced LL monogram enclosing date letter F and painter's mark N in blue
  • 10.5cm., 4 1/8 in. and 10cm., 4in.
painted on each side with a large bird set in a landscape vignette, blue-line and gilt dash borders, the cover with three birds in flight and a flower finial; together with a Sèvres green-ground teapot, circa 1758-59, each side reserved with a shaped panel painted by François-Joseph Aloncle with birds perched on branches in a landscape vignette, within a gilt foliate scrollwork and floral cartouche, the spout with a bird in flight, gilt-edged rims

Condition

the first with some wear to the gilding, the cover with a restored chip to rim (3cm x 0.5cm) a flat chip to the uderside of the rim (0.8cm x 0.4cm) and a chip to the finial
