Description
- crossed swords in underglaze-blue
- 10.5 cm., 4 ½ in.
modelled by J.J. Kändler, standing wringing her hands, wearing a white scarf, lavender bodice and grey apron over a flowered skirt, flower-applied scroll-moulded circular base
Condition
Shallow chip to top edge of purple cloak, approx. ½in. by ¼in. Some wear to enamels on edges of cloak. Some small typical chips to applied flowers on base.

The 'Cryes of London' figures were modelled by Kaendler and Reinicke after prints by Pierce Tempest after Marcellus Laroon. Another examples of this figure, also known as 'Rachel of Covent Garden', is illustrated by Yvonne Adams, Meissen Figures 1730-1775 The Kaendler Years, no.107, p.47.
