Description

  • 29.8cm., 11¼in.
painted with two flowers and a cartouche depiciting a lion playfully chasing birds, reserved against a powdered  blue ground, the handle with blue spirals

Condition

The neck of the jug has been repaired. It has been broken off around the join of the neck and the body, the front half of the neck is complete, the rear half has been into four sections, and restuck an area of 60 x 20mm of the rim at the back has been filled, the handle has been into three sections and restuck.
