Description

  • 48.2cm., 19in.
moulded with three concentric rows of fluting around a central medallion painted with a Medici coat of arms, the fluted panels with alternating leaf branches and sprays of flowers, blue-edged rim, the reverse with concentric circles in blue with three rows of dashes between them

Condition

Generally good condition. There is a small amount of flaking to the front, this is visible in the photograph. There is a flake on the edge of a large white panel directly below the arms, also on a panel two to the right, an overpainted small flake of the panel immediately to the left and two flakes to a panel two further to the right. There are two small flakes on the border panels one of which is painted over, approx. 8mm and 5mm. There is also a fine crackle throughout. The reverse has several glaze free patches, 35 x 30mm, 25 x 20mm, 20 x 15mm, 10 x 10mm and some smaller.
