Description

of rectangular form, with a beaded lip, each corner of the top and sides with ornamental white brass ornamental fittings, the front with a rectangular base plate with a cloud hasp; together with a flat huanghuali stationery box, 17th/18th century

Provenance for both - Eastern Pacific Co., Kowloon, Hong Kong 26th November 1986.

Condition

The zitan box is in overall good condition except for a crack to the base panel. The huanghuali box is also in good overall condition but with very light surface scratching.
