of cylindrical form finely carved with a continuous scene of a scholar gazing out in contemplation from a pavillion nestled behind tall pine trees and lush bamboo, with a rippling stream below in which a pair of ducks swim, and cloud swirls drifting above, the wood of deep honey-brown tone
