Description

each of deep rounded form resting on a short foot, brightly painted around the sides with four medallions each enclosing a character in seal-script, the characters reading fo ri changming ('The Light of the Awakened One is a constant source of Illumination'), all amid lotus blooms and leafy scrolls reserved on a bright yellow-ground, the base inscribed with the six-character seal mark

Condition

To the bowl on the LHS, there is faint hairline crack down from the rim approx 5cm, only visible from the interior. To the bowl on the RHS, there are two small enamel flakes to below the 're' character approx 0.2 by 0.1cm, and a natural crackling to the yellow glaze. Otherwise the pair of bowls are in good condition overall. There is minor rubbing to the black enamel, and a bit of bubbling to the red and blue enamels due to misfiring.
