Description
each with deep rounded sides resting on a short foot, painted on the exterior in bright 'famille-rose' enamels with four circular panels enclosing detailed landscape scenes picked out in intricate detail, all reserved on a rich yellow sgraffiato ground decorated with feathery lotus sprays, the interior with a stylised floret with eight radiating ruyi petals to the centre, the base glazed white and inscribed with the six-character seal-mark
Condition
To one bowl, there is a 'D'-shaped rim chip of approx 1 by 0.6cm, which has been restored. To the interior of both bowls, there is some rubbing to the yellow-enamel dots, and light wear to the gilding and iron-red. Otherwise the bowls are generally in very good condition overall.
