Description

  • a pair of polychrome wood candlebearing angels
the genuflecting angels each holding a cornucopia surmounted by an iron pricket

Condition

On both figures the candle holder has been carved separately with the arm which holds it and the joints are visible and have had some restoration. One of the wings of the angel holding the candle at its proper right shoulder has been carved separately and attached with two visible nails which may be later. The polychromy may have been refreshed and is worn. Otherwise the condition of the angels is good with some wear particularly to the feet.
