  • crossed swords and dot in underglaze blue to rear of base, painter's mark M in puce
  • 14cm., 5 1/2 in.
modelled by Peter Reinicke, with a baby in a cradle held by a strap across her shoulder, wearing a brown bodice and purple patterned skirt, the scroll-moulded base edged in gilding and applied with leaves
