Description

  • A MAGNESITE MARBLE BUST OF A GODDESS
  • Height 8 1/2 in.; 26.1 cm
holding her right hand to her breast in the gesture of nursing her child, and wearing the wig of the goddess Hathor terminating in voluted ends on her breasts and falling in a single voluted lock onto the top of the fragmentary back pillar, her strong round face with full lips, broad nose, and almond-shaped eyes with contoured upper lids.
