Condition
Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the overall tonality is warmer and richer with the light green tending more towards grey and the card tending more towards camel.
Condition: This work is in good condition. The canvas is slightly slack. There are a few pressure bumps and slight indentations in places throughout the composition, most visibly along the left edge of the composition. There is scattered stable craquelure in places throughout the surface most notably a circular pattern of craquelure 30cm in from the centre of the right edge. There is a 5cm feather crack with associated tiny specks of loss to the centre of the upper left quadrant and another further small crack 20cm beneath this. There is wear to the lower right corner tip and in places along the outer edges, notably a 10cm rub marks to the centre of the left edge. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultra-violet light.
