Condition
Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original work where the paper has warmer hues and the boat tends more to slate grey.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. Executed on cream wove paper laid down onto canvas, there is a very light undulation to the bottom edge and a few handling creases to the bottom left corner. There is a further crease to the centre of the top edge and three minute indentations just below the upper left corner. There is wear and very slight lifting to the top right corner tip and several tiny spots of foxing at the top edge approximately 10cm along from the upper right corner.
