Condition

This work is in good condition. There is stable and unobtrusive cracquelure concentrated in the central bottom and right third of the canvas. There is water staining visible on the reverse of the canvas which is not visible in natural light on the front. Under ultra-violet light inspection, scattered areas of retouching fluoresce. These areas correspond with inclusions visible under normal light conditions. There are intermittent losses to the extreme edges not visible when the work is framed. Framed in gilt wood.
