Condition
Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly deeper and richer in the original.
Condition: This work is in very good condition. There is some very fine and stable drying caquelure to the green paint in places to the left and right hand corners and in places along the top edge. There is a network of extremely fine and stable vertical hairline cracks towards the middle of the figure's eyebrows; a small network to the centre of the nose and a further network to the tip of the nose. There is verty light wear to the bottom two corners and in places along the right section of the extreme bottom edge of the composition. There is a rub mark to the top of the figure's shoulder in the lower left quadrant.
