Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate although the colour of the frame tends more to a rich army green in the original work where the wood hues are less orange. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are several rub marks and minute losses scattered around the outer edges of the frame. There are scattered small areas of light discoloration to the frame, most notably in the upper section of the right hand vertical edge and in places along the top edge. There are diagonal drying cracks to the paint along the joins of the upper two corners of the frame. Adjacent to the middle of the left hand vertical edge there are several tiny losses to the celotex where it meets the formica wooden section. There is a small patch of retouching to the outside of the right hand vertical edge of the frame towards the bottom corner that fluoresces when examined under ultraviolet light.
