Condition

Colours: The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is brighter and more vibrant in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition and it is securely hinged to the backing mount at intervals along the upper extreme edge. The lower right extreme corner tip is bending inwards slightly and in a few places the thin deckled upper edge is folding inwards. There are two artist's pinholes to each of the upper corners. There are a number of very fine drying cracks to the black pigment in the lower right quadrant. Light handling marks are visible to the upper left and right corners. There are several isolated pinprick-sized media specks to the blank areas of the sheet around the central image. Some very fine fibres of surface dust are adhering to the impasto in places.
