Colours:
The colours are fairly accurate in the catalogue illustration, although the overall tonality is slightly brighter and more vibrant, with the orange tending more towards a cadmium scarlett in the original.
Condition:
The work is in very good condition. There is a minor network of craquelure to the red impasto in the centre of the lower horizontal section of the composition. There are further matrices of very fine and stable craquelure to the vertical strokes of orange paint across the central section of the composition. There are a number of minute pinprick-sized specks of white media accretion to the top left corner. There are no apparent retouchings under ultraviolet light.
