Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is slightly warmer in the original. The catalogue illustration fails to convey the three-dimensionality of the canvas protrusions. Condition: The work is in very good condition. There are a few extremely light handling marks around the extreme edges of the work. Very small and unobtrusive rub marks are visible upon close examination to the right side of the lower extreme edge, to the top of the left extreme edge, to places in the upper left quadrant and to the far right side of the upper extreme edge. There are a number of extremely fine hairline tension cracks in places to the extreme overturn edges. There are a few very light scattered spots of wearing over the canvas protrusions. Upon very close examination there are several isolated tiny pale spots of discolouration throughout and some extrememly light surface dust collected to the recesses throughout the canvas. No restoration is apparent under ultraviolet light.
