well carved as a recumbent phoenix with its head turned back grasping a peach bough in its beak, the archaistic emblems on its feathers and the feet under its body picked out in relief, the finely polished stone of a celadon-green colour with mottled inclusions, the base of a slightly darker tone with some patches of calcification
