Condition

The canvas has been relined. There is some craquelure to the thicker areas of paint on the snow in the foreground. Ultraviolet light reveals infilling to the afreomentionned craquelure and a strip of retouching across the lower border. Scattered spots elsewhere. Held in an ornate plaster gilt frame.
