Condition
Original canvas. Under ultra-violet light there are some scattered areas of retouching visible, notably to the trees in the background and to the water, corresponding to three pinhead sized punctures at the centre of the composition. .Overall this work is in good condition.
Held in an ebonised plaster and giltwood frame, the outer sides in plain dark brown wood, the inner band decorated with gilt bay leaves.
