un thanka figurant Parajanaparamita, la déesse du savoir et de la connaissance, assise en vajraparyankasana sur un lotus dans un jardin luxuriant, une tige de fleur portant son emblême le parajnaparamita sutra, entourée de dignitaires, d'ermites, d'enseignants et de moines en adoration, des êtres célestes dans les nuages au-dessus; avec un autre thanka représentant le Roi Dharma, assis sur un trône supporté par des lions et protégé par Garouda, dans un paysage fabuleux, des scènes narratives au registre inférieur et sur les côtés, le mont Meru et Kalachakra au registre supérieur, vers 1900; détrempe sur tissu, encadrés
Condition
Losses and creasing overall. The loss of pigment mainly in the malachite green in the upper left quadrant of the halo of the central deity (as seen in the catalogue illustration). Other major losses of the green evident in the cloud of the top right. Some staining evident in the halo and forehead of the central deity. Still stitched to its fragmentary original mount. Accretion overall muting the palette. No apparent restoration.
