In 1969, Baques family acquired 50% of the shares in Masriera y Carreras, In 1985, the Baques family acquired the entire company and set about retrieving their archives including molds, casts, designs and documents.

The brooch offered here is based on the original model first made in Barcelona around 1909-1916. The original sketch of this piece was featured in Catàleg de models Masriera Hermanos y Joaquin Carreras, vol. 3, no. 2998 and vol. 4, no. 3672.
