Canvas is not lined. SURFACE: in fairly good condition; craquelure and flaking scattered on the whites of subject's lacy mantilla and the blues of her fan (background doesn't seem to be affected UNDER ULTRA VIOLET: scattered repaints, mostly as fill-in for the flaking mentioned above and in those areas--on her mantilla, on her fan, at upper right; aside from this--a couple of small spots on her nose and right side of her face; a few spots in the background at left
