Canvas is lined. Good condition, generally; surface is compressed from relining, but color and detail retention are good Under Ultra Violet: there are 3 repaired tears along the lower part of the painting: at lower right, a 7 in repair, roughly in the shape of an "8"; at lower center, a repaired tear, roughly in the shape of the letter "C", about 7 in. diameter; another repaired tear at lower left in the shape of a square with a vertical line thorugh it (area is about 5 in. square)—aside from this a small spot of inpaint in sky at upper right (can see with naked eye); a few tiny scattered spots in sky and a few small spots at right (in trees, midground)
