A Santo Domingo Polychrome Bowl

circa 1920, with flat base, flaring walls and undulating rim, painted in red, black and white slip, the interior with a flower, scalloped band and cleaved panel enclosing star-like medallions, the exterior with a thick encircling band surmounted by a broad geometric frieze with "negative" foliate elements.
