A Laguna Polychrome Jar

circa 1890, with concave base, flaring walls and a tapering neck, the underbody painted with a deep orange slip, surmounted by a broad geometric frieze enclosing finely hatched meandering elements, possibly a stylized "rainbird" motif, in black against a chalky white ground.
