olla, circa 1875, with tall rounded sides, sloping shoulder and flaring rim, painted over a creamy white slip in black, with a frieze of birds, one with cross-hatching, alternating with abstracted cornstalks, all surmounting a thick encircling red band, the neck decorated with inverted arches.
