A Large Zuni Polychrome Vessel

circa 1850, of rectangular form, with flat base, slightly convex sides and a terraced rim, painted in rusty-red and dark brown against a soapy white slip, the exterior walls each with an animal in right-profile, the interior walls each with a rainbow, and a human-like figure in each corner.
