Condition

The paint appears in good and stable condition overall. There is a small canvas patch on the reverse which is evidence of a professional repair to a probable small hole on the upper of the two red foot prints midway up on the left hand side of the painting. There is a small worn hole in the canvas at the top left and bottom right corner. The painting is housed in a pale timber box frame.

Catalogue Note

This painting is sold with an accompanying certificate from Warlayirti Artists that reads in part: 'Artist's Country. A mother Dingo was here in the Dreamtime with her pups and they are seen in rock formations in the landscape. The mother was called Yatarru and the pups are known collectively as Warltjiri. Many small water sources are also seen as is the desert-oak or "parka-parka". The boomerang and fighting stick of another Dreamtime creature are also seen. The artist lived here as a young man.'
