- Length: 92.5 cm
carved in hardwood of unusually large proportions, with narrow bi-convex boss, straight back and deep cut handle; one side of the shield decorated with engraved traditional motifs, with bar and cross designs infilled with red pigment, old shiny patina

Condition
There is an old crack running through the upper tip of the shield approximately 4 cm long and a gouge approximately 8 cm long and 3 cm deep near the handle on the undecorated side. The shield appears to have had no restoration of repairs.
