Catalogue Note

This small table, in a fully-fledged Transitional style, is loosely based on the work by Jean-Francois Oeben (1721-1763; Master 1761). A mechanical table of a similar form is in the Linsky Bequest at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, another at the Gulbenkian Museum, Lisbon.
