  • 13.2cm., 5¼in.
the waisted cylindrical form painted with an interior view of bubbling and steaming water, inscribed in gilding Der Sprudel in Carlsbad below, within a gilt rectangular panel, the reverse with the tooled gilt crest of the city within tied leaf fronds and below a gilt band with meandering vine tendril, gilt-edged rim, the cogwheel foot heightened in gilding, with star-cut base
