Description

  • 11cm., 4 3/8 in.
the waisted cylindrical form painted with a gilt titled view of a bridge over a river, inscribed below Das Mühlbad und def Neubrunn Carlsbad, all within a rectangular amber-stained panel with gilt foliate decoration, the reverse with a gilt band with meandering vine tendril, below a gilt-edged rim, over a cogwheel foot with part amber-stained star-cut base

Catalogue Note

The view lacks features of the buildings which were only introduced between 1825 and 1827-28. From this one must assume that the painting was probably undertaken prior to 1828.
