Description

  • 'C.v.S. 1824' below the view to the right
  • 17.9cm. by 23cm., 7in. by 9in.
signed, the rectangular form set in a pewter frame with two suspension loops, painted with a view of buildings across a river, inscribed below Das Marmor Palais am Heiligen See bei Potzdam within an amber-stained border

Condition

There is an area of rubbing to the enamel at the top right corner (within the cloud); a very light scratch to the glass (ca. 0.8cm) on the left hand side (upper end of the wooden house), and to the lower left corner (running above the bushes), otherwise in generally good condition
