Description

  • 11.8cm., 4 5/8 in.
the waisted cylindrical form painted with a riverscape and town view within a rectangular amber-stained panel gilt with formal leaves, inscribed Bad Ems on a white ground below, the reverse with amber band with gilt arcade border below the gilt-edged rim and above a narrow amber-stained band gilt with meandering vine tendril, the cogwheel foot heightened in gilding and part amber-stained star-cut base

Condition

Some typical rubbing to the gilding on the edges of the rim, to the left side of the arcaded border on the reverse and to the palisade flutes, otherwise generally in good condition
