Description

  • 11.2cm., 4 3/8 in.
the waisted cylindrical form painted with a gilt titled view of Domkirche zu St Stephan in Wien, within an amber-stained rectangular panel gilt with formal leaves, the reverse with inscription below a gothic arcaded border, gilt-edged rim, above a cogwheel foot highlighted in gilding and part amber-stained star-cut base

Condition

gilding rubbed especially on the rim, the flutes, the leaf decoration to the right of the view and to the inscription on the reverse; there is a small 60mm diagonal scratch to the clear glass at the centre of the back of the bowl; otherwise in fair condition
