Description

  • 11.9cm., 4 5/8 in.
the waisted cylindrical form painted with a gilt titled Vue de haut Marché, within an amber-stained rectangular panel gilt with formal leaves, the reverse with a border of stylised jewels below the gilt-edged rim, over a cogwheel foot heightened in gilding and part amber-stained star-cut base

Condition

The gilding is extensively rubbed on the rim, to the sides of the border frame, to the inscription and to the edges of the flutes
