Condition

The canvas is original. It is a heavy coarse canvas and the weave is visible throughout. There is a stretcher mark to the upper edge. There is some frame abrasion to the right edge resulting in some specks of paint loss. There are further very minor specks of paint loss to the upper left corner, to the centre of the upper edge and to the middle figure's head. There is some surface dirt and blooming towards the right edge. Otherwise in good overall condition. There is no sign of retouching under ultra violet light. Held in a gold and brown painted frame.
