Catalogue Note
The current work is very closely related to 'Pears on a Blue and White Dish' circa 1919 and painted at the Fitzroy St. Studios. It features the same dish as the Tate Gallery's 'Apples on a Dish' 1919 which was purchased by the Tate in 1947.
We are grateful to John Gledhill for his kind assistance with the cataloguing of this lot.
