The work is executed on canvas laid down to panel. There is a horizontal line across the work where it seems to have been folded prior to being laid down. There is also a crease to the canvas in the lower left quadrant. There is a scuff mark in the lower right quadrant. The edges of the work are worn. The surface of the work is dirty and would benefit from a clean. Under ultraviolet light there is old retouching evident to the fold and crease mentioned previously. Held in a pale, gilt wooden and plaster frame.
