Catalogue Note
The present work was painted whilst Craxton stayed on the Aegean island of Hydra. The artist recalled watching the workmen having to collect their building materials by hand via a plank from a small caique.
We are grateful to the artist for his kind assistance with the cataloguing of this lot.
