Condition

The work is on wove paper which has not been laid down, although the sheet is attached to the mount by two pieces of sellotape along the left and right edges. The sheet has been further adhered to the mount with a small spot of glue along the right edge. There are artist's pinholes in the upper corners which are only visible beneath the mount. There is a tear from the pinhole in the upper left corner to the edge of the sheet, approximately 1.5cm. in length. Examination under the mount reveals a line of light staining along each edge. The sheet undulates slightly in the lower two quadrants and there are very minor scattered creases in all but the bottom left quadrant. There is some brown coloured surface matter in the lower right quadrant. Presented under glass in a cream mount. Held in a simple wooden frame.
