Condition

The work is on wove paper which has not been laid down. The sheet undulates very slightly along each edge. The lower edge is deckled and very slightly creased at the far edge. There is light craquelure to the thick areas of paint in the lower left and upper right quadrants. Otherwise the paint surface is in good overall condition. There is no sign of retouching under ultra-violet light. Held beneath glass and presented against a white backboard in a simple box frame with a gilded edge.
