Condition

The work is on wove paper which has not been laid down. All four edges of the sheet are. The sheet undulates slightly across the centre of the surface. There are small pieces of tape along the top and bottom edges of the sheet which attach the work to the mount. There are further adhesive marks on the left and right edges of the recto which appear to be the result of a previous attempt to attach the sheet to the mount. There are further small pieces of tape on the centre of the bottom edge and on the lower left corner. There are small spots of foxing across the sheet which is visible though the watercolour. The paint surface is otherwise in good overall condition. Presented behind glass in a silk mount and held in a wooden and plaster painted frame which has been subject to woodworm.
