Condition

Original canvas. There are two small areas of minor paint separation, one area to the dark red paint in the centre below the upper edge and another area to the dark brown pigment near the bottom left edge. There is a very small spot of paint loss to the impasto in the upper left corner, otherwise in good overall condition with strong passages of impasto throughout. Under ultraviolet light, there appear to be no signs of retouching. Held in a painted wood frame with canvas inset. The blue and green pigments in the upper right quadrant are stronger than the catalogue illustration suggests however, the darker brown towns are slightly cooler than the catalogue illustration suggests.
