Condition

The board is sound and is very slightly bowed along the right edges. There are some light surface scratches to the centre of the left edge, in two places along the upper edge, in the centre of the right edge and above the centre of the bottom edge, visible in the catalogue illustration. There is a small area of staining below the centre of the upper edge and the surface is slightly dirty otherwise in good overall condition. Under ultraviolet light, there are some very fine lines of sensitive retouching scattered throughout the composition. Held in a plaster gilt frame. Please note that the colours are slightly fresher than the illustration suggests.
