Condition
The canvas has an old relining. There is a spot of retouching towards the upper right corner corresponding to some paint loss, a small spot towards the centre of the upper edge, a spot above the umbrella handle corresponding to a repair in the canvas and a spot to the upper left of the girl's head. There are a few further small strokes of old retouching towards the lower edge and a few tiny flecks to the girl's face and hair. There are some signs of craquelure, otherwise the paint surface appears in stable condition. Held in a plaster moulded gilt frame.
