Condition

The board on which the plaster is placed is sound and has been cradled on the reverse. There are a few small spots of retouchings around the edges of the work and a spot on the girl's right arm. There are a few pinhead sized scratches to the surface, notably towards the centre of the top edge, in the girl's hair and a few around the unicorn. The colours remain strong and the work is overall in good condition. Held in a fluted plaster moulded gilt wood frame.
